A showcase of the creativity, diversity and strength of the spoken word in Scotland is being held at the Edinburgh International Book Festival next week.

The Central Hall in Edinburgh will host the Scottish Spoken Word Showcase on Tuesday 23rd August between 8.30pm and 10pm.

It includes an insight into artists’ inspirations and a celebration of Scotland’s spoken words’ lineage and tradition, while also highlighting some remarkable artists.

The event will be hosted by poet and Creative Director of ‘I Am Loud Poets Productions’, Kevin Mclean, with Bee Asha, BEMZ, Dave Hook, Gray Crosbie, Joe Gilbert, Mae Diansangu, Kevin P Gilday and Victoria McNulty featuring as part of the showcase.
