A collation of Moray’s best poetry will be released today (30th August), including famous poems written in Doric, English and Scots by folk from the region. “Poetry of Moray: 1448-1984” has been edited by Richard Bennet, a former English teacher in the region.
The book has been published by Spey Books and supported by the Doric Board. It will be launched at Elgin library on Wednesday 8th September at 7.30pm.
Through the Doric Board’s financial backing, copies of the book will be donated to Moray care homes and schools. There is more information and the option to pre-order “Poetry of Moray: 1448-1984” on the Spey Books website.
